This weekend we remulched the bed in the back yard and planted blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers, jalepeno peppers and cantaloupe. The vegetables are in the planters so Jeff couldn't make the yard look like Pet Cemetary again.

These are Gram's (by way of Dee) iris with Mother's tiger lillies in the background. The new strawberry is between them.

The rosebushes with tiger lillies in between. We staked solor lights around the beds and out in between the evergreens in the backyard.

I'm proud of my new blackberry bush.

And the gardenia by the front door smells wonderful!

MaMaw, here is how I found him when we got off of the phone. He fell asleep watching 'Woody Buzz' with his Woody doll and a bag of chips.

Weekend

Costume in the works. Madeline informed me that she was given the choice of any underwater creature to be in the upcoming music class program. A turtle or starfish sure would have been easy....... but what did she choose? An angel fish. Not a regular fish, an angel fish. Google them when you get a chance and you'll see why she chose them. Very sassy looking fish. Above are the makings I picked up at Hobby Lobby to constuct with. Wait and see.

Drama, drama, drama

I found this Ode To Disappointment written in the pollen on the hood of my car. One guess who wrote it. She was furious and upset with me because her friends down the street were going to Publix and I wouldn't let her go. I don't know the mother well enough yet for car rides. She waited in the driveway for them to return and decided to pass the time by writing out her frustrations. Sigh.

Orange Beach- Last Day

Last hoorah in the pool before heading home.

I got this float board at a consignment sale right before we left for $1.50. Madeline and her new friends she made at the pool got a ton of use out of it. Definitely got my moneys worth on that one.

As we drove out we stopped by the shark store one more time and Matthew got to see the pirate display on the back side of the store.

We stopped by Burris Market in Loxley on the way home and got all of this yummy produce. We had a good veggie dinner when we got home. We boiled the peanuts too! And yes, that jelly is scuppernong!

Orange Beach-Day 3

This morning we went out on the beach around 9:00 or so for pictures. We were so surprised to find a very heavy mist. It helped to keep the sun from being so bright that the kids would squint.

My original intent was for us all to have our pictures made together, but I forgot the tripod and my hair was all shades of crazy by then so I just decided to take them of the kids. That's why I'm not in my white dress too. Madeline took this one for us.
