Words of Wisdom from Madeline
Here are some of the latest jewels from Madeline:
1. While we were watching the Hannah Montana movie in bed: "MOM! Did you know that Hanna Montana is REALLY Miley Cyrus! But no one at her school knows cause she wears her regular brown hair there and her blond hair (like mine) is her rock star hair! THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!"
2. Infomercials. She loves these. She has had a fascination with Smooth Away for months and months now. That stuff is in every check out line it seems because every time she sees it she yells 'They have Smooth Away!!! Can we get some???"
One day she gave me a sticky note where she had paused the DVR, went and got the notepad and a pen and wrote down the 800 number for The Snake drain unclogging thing. She thought that was a NOVEL idea and that we should definitely buy one of those.
Then tonight she came and told me that we needed to go to Command.com and buy these great stretchy things that let you hang pictures on the walls WITHOUT nail holes and proceeded to pitch the product to me. Too funny! I'm going to be in trouble when she gets old enough to use the phone and discovers the Home Shopping Network.
3. Tonight she and Matthew were taking a bath together and she yells "EEEEWWWWW!!!! Matthew just PEE'D in the tub! He just stood up and I saw water come out of that thing!!!!"
4. She's been on the green light at school for the past few days but today she was on yellow. Again for talking, it's always talking. She says "I was on yellow light for talking. Mommy it's just how I'm made."

The Mad Mom
On our way home from visiting Dee today we got into a bit of heavy traffic. Madeline was looking out the back window and here was our conversation:
"Mommy! There's a mad mom behind us!"
"A what??"
"A mad mom!"
I'm thinking there's some woman in the car behind us making obscene gestures or something.
"How do you know it's a mom and what are you talking about??"
"You know, a mad mom, like on tv."
"I have no idea what you're talking about Madeline, I don't see anything back there."
"Those mad moms with the fire sticks!"
"What?!?"
"Like on Phineus & Ferb."
"Oh. You mean a mad mob. And those were torches they had on tv."
She meant there was a lot of cars coming up fast behind us.
ha ha ha ha

The ongoing haircut saga
I put him in the tub and washed it and combed it up into a little mohawk to get it to dry fluffy. We'll see how it works..
Out of the mouths of babes
Madeline says some very sweet things..... today at Panera Bread she was eating some of the honey wheat/oat rolls which had some multigrain seeds in it. She was picking some of them out and said she wanted to take them home to plant a bread tree. =) Then on the way home she was laughing so hard with her hand stuck out the car window in the wind and she said it felt like God was tickling her hand. So cute!

The Great Tooth Fairy Mishap
I asked her if she had managed to keep her tongue out of the hole this time and she said no. She said she has decided that she doesn't want a gold tooth anymore, she wants all of her teeth to be white so that means she can put her tongue in the hole whenever she wants!
