Madeline could not believe that the Easter Bunny got the eggs she colored out of the fridge and put them into her basket!
She was all about the chocolate bunnies and the zoo bracelets.
Matthew slept in so he opened his basket later than Sissy did.
The Easter Bunny found him a penguin egg!

After their baskets were opened they ate a picnic breakfast on the floor. =)
This is Matthew's first real Easter egg hunt. All the practice at home paid off, he knew exactly what to do and loved every min of it!
MaMaw had special Easter boxed lunches for the kids and they loved them!

Each child had a scavenger hunt prepared for them to find their special prize eggs. They had to each wear the bunny ears and then hop to follow the clues to their egg.

Sidney found her egg.
Madeline could not wait for Sidney to arrive. They are only 15mo apart in age and play very well together. As soon as she got there they immediately got changed into their dress up clothes and turned the garage into their ballroom.
Matthew's turn to hunt his egg. He refused to wear the bunny ears, but he was able to follow his clue to the fridge and get his egg.
And he was very pleased to find a sucker in there too!

What's the best way to pass time while the eggs are sitting in the dye? Eating a Klondike Bar!
This one turned out so cool, the dye pellet didn't melt correctly in the vinegar and it made this have a marbled look.
Deep blue eggs are my favorite ones.
