Tuesday I was the volunteer to take Madeline's class to the lunchroom so the teacher could have a duty free lunch. Afterwards I helped take down old classwork in the hallway and put up new ones. This gave me the chance to take pictures of Madeline's work that was hanging in the hall.
I like how she used red glitter on her volcano.
These are dino dig kits the class is working on where they excavate dinosaur bones with little tools and brushes. Madeline is loving this!

Aunt Nancy and Uncle Jason came down Friday night to escape the power outage in North AL from the tornado. We had a great visit, it was just too short.
Jason got his fill of Nintendo DS, constant chatter, playing bears with Matthew and even a short round of Liv dolls with Madeline! Aunt Nancy was Uno-ed out I think.
Sunday we drove down to Tuscaloosa to see where the tornado came through. The National Guard is there and it looked like a war zone. Total destruction.
I tuned in to the Royal Wedding coverage on BBC America at 4:30am last Friday with a cup of British tea in my Mother's fine china. I even used the tiny glass sugar/salt servers.
My Royal Wedding celebration dinner fell apart due to the storms and working late but at least I had my British tea.

We finally had something grow to fruition in our garden. We had 1 strawberry!
Madeline picked it and we cut it up, put sugar on it and ate it. It was delicious!
I addition to our carrots, peppers, cantaloupe and blackberry, today we planted onion, potato, and some herbs. 
I lost count of how many times we hid eggs in the backyard. Truth be told, I was sick of hiding eggs by the end. But they loved it and would have done it all day I think.
We used the real eggs that we had dyed for the hunts. Since we weren't going to eat them and the Easter Bunny had already come we went ahead and used them and they were trashed by the time we were finished. Matthew would throw them and squeeze them!

We took a family picture outside with the self timer. I set it do 2 pictures and thought both had taken but when Madeline and I got over to the camera it took the second one.
And here it is. It looks like we were just Photoshopped out! ha ha
I think the Easter Bunny spilled his basket at our house.

Madeline made an Easter Bunny out of her molding clay she got in an egg.
This was the first year that Matthew really enjoyed to dye eggs. He like to use the little rollers and roll on his paint.
He did a good job!
