'What chocolate??"

So, I call Madeline from the other room to see what she is into (because it's quiet), she comes in and looking like this and I quickly take her picture. I said Madeline were you eating my chocolate and she replies...... "what chocolate? I was eating an apple, see."
Yes I see the apple...... AND the chocolate ALL over her mouth.

Riding Mr. Peanut

I gave Mr. Peanut to Emily back when she was little (she's 11) and it has been used by all the cousins down the line. When Madeline was little Leslie found another Mr. Peanut at a yard sale- we had never seen one since the one I got Emily. Matthew likes to ride it too!

We had so much fun with MaMaw during her visit!

Getting the Halloween decorations out on the front porch. Madeline likes to help arrange them.

MaMaw gave Madeline this for her birthday in June. She calls this her '2 footed scooter' and it is her main mode of transportation. She loves it!!

Halloween preparations

Madeline paints her pumpkins each year, this also means they don't rot quickly like ones that have been carved. She is quite bothered that Matthew's is left plain, but she doesn't want him to paint it because it will be 'scribbledy'. What she's getting at is that she wants to paint his too!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we all went to a local pumpkin patch to pick out some pumpkins. MaMaw was down for a visit so she got to come too and help!

Tried unsuccessfully to get a picture of Madeline and Matthew together. This is why I am not a professional photographer.....

How Do I Look?

Yesterday Madeline wore a particularly odd outfit.... but I thought oh well. She tells me as we get to school that she is dressed that way because she wants to be like the 'Before' person on the show How Do I Look that I watch! She said tomorrow she would dress like the 'After'! ha ha

Tic Tac Teeth

Madeline likes to put Tic Tac candies in the holes of two missing front teeth. These are orange and yellow.....

The fort/house/box

Couldn't get Matthew to crawl into it but....

Madeline LOVES the fort/house that Jeff made out of the box our new chair was in. She bravely thought she would sleep in it one night but quickly changed her mind once the lights were out.

Moundville Field Trip

Wednesday Madeline's class went to Moundville for the Native American festival, they are currently studying about the Indians in class. I'll just say that at least the kids seemed to enjoy it...... parents not so much.

So many of the kids bought these Indian flutes at the craft stands.... the bus ride home could have been disatrous had the teacher not made them all hand them over until we got back to school. I don't think I could have taken 60 kids blasting flutes in a bus for 45min.
