Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday we went to Clanton for our annual visit to the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch. Here the kids are waiting on the hayride wagon to take us out to the patch.

My good friend Joyce was able to go with us again this year to get pumpkins and eat good 'festival' food as we call it. =)

Matthew was BESIDE himself over all the pumpkins! He loved it! Loved it!!

This looks like a good one!

Found another one! That's Madeline in the background bringing up one she found. She took quite a while to decide on hers.
Special kudos to Jeff for carrying pumpkins for us!

This one was wider than she is.

Sweet babies. We had such a good time.

Playing in the haystacks.

Only Madeline would try to create a design on her shirt out of cuckleburrs.

The hay maze.

Just a swangin'.

Pony rides were $5. It was well worth it, Matthew is still talking about riding the 'horsie'. Madeline chose the biggest pony they had and rode it with no one walking beside her.

Face painting is a pumpkin patch must do. This year she chose a puppy dog design.

The inflatable park.

The last 2 years Madeline has tried to go down this bohemeth of a slide and both years she got to the top and freaked out so Jeff and/or I had to climb up and get her. This year I told her we were not attempting it because I was not climbing up there after her. She settled for the others they had.

Posing with our caramel apples. We passed on the fried Snickers.

Daddy's To-Do List

Madeline made a to-do list for Jeff in his work notebook. The play with old people was the best part!! ha ha

Plant City/Lakeland, FL

After we left Disney World we checked into our next hotel in Lakeland, FL. Jeff's family lives about 25 min from DW so we stayed to visit with them for a few days. Madeline loved the hot tub at the hotel pool, it was deep enough for her to swim in!

We passed by a local Long John Silver's on the way to visit family and had to stop for lunch. We don't have an LJS close to us and it is one of our faves so we took pics. =) Can't you see how enthused Jeff is?

This is Jeff's little sister Colleen with the kids. They had tons of stickers, crayons, etc for them to play with.

Colleen, Jeff and his dad Ed- or Poppy as the kids call him.

A neighbor had brought over some little tomatoes and Matthew tore into them! He loved the chili that Lollie made too!

Lollie (Jeff's mom Pat) and Madeline.

Hanging out on the back deck.

Isn't this a great picture! 5 seconds later he had broken that flamingo into pieces. Jeff has taught him to say "Hulk SMASH!"

Colleen and her husband Mark. Or as Matthew says "Markle", combo of Uncle Mark! ha ha

Started out as fun digging in some pots.....

and ended up being a collosal mess. They had dirt strewn all over the deck and Matthew even had it in his ears! It was everywhere!

Day 5- Final Day at DW

Our final day at DW. =(
We happened upon the Pooh/Tigger character area right when they were coming out. Tigger came all the way over to Madeline, took her by the hand and they walked together all the way back up to the greeting area. She was thrilled to be with Pooh AGAIN!

And then we had to get back into the line and see them AGAIN because she forgot her autograph book the first time. I didn't take any more pictures that time, I was Pooh-ed out.

Alice In Wonderland's White Rabbit again.

Hee hee!

Love this one. Matthew enjoyed wearing that Pluto hat!

This old timey phone is in the hat shop on Main Street. When you pick up the receiver you can listen in on an olden days party line conversation.

Waiting outside of Tony's for our dinner reservation. We loved this restaurant. It is right on Main Street. Tony's is the Italian place in Lady & The Tramp where they shared spaghetti back in the alley. These are Lady and Tramp's paw prints in the pavement outside. Madeline wore her Lady & The Tramp shirt for this day.

You can't go to a Lady & The Tramp dinner and not eat spaghetti. The ice cream bomb dessert was amazing!

Madeline tried to get Matthew to share the same noodle with her like they do in the movie but he wouldn't.

He wanted it all to himself.

Beside the Lady & Tramp fountain.

We ran into Pluto right outside of the restaurant.

Matthew got to see Donald again in the parade.

And Woody!

Ahhh, Liberty Square. Here is Madeline in the stockade things. Isn't that what they are? Or is it paddocks? Oh well. You get the picture.

Modeling the necklaces that Tinkerbell left under her pillow for her tooth.

The Peter Pan ride. A family favorite. Matthew would say "I ride the boats! Peter Pan!"

The carousel was a smashing success. They both loved it! And at night time with all the lights and music and being in Fantasy Land it was so much fun!

There was no line at all since most people were back on Main Street for the fireworks at the end of the night so we got ride it a lot without waiting.

Love it!

We stayed in the park until closing and watched the Wishes fireworks show from right beside Dumbo. The fireworks were right on top of us, it was so great!
Now to start planning the next trip.......
