When I was growing up my Mother would always say "We'll see you anon" as we were leaving. Translation: I'll see you soon. So now you understand how I chose my blog address and I hope to 'see you anon'- keep checking back for updates!

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 8
Photo of the ride you miss the most. Mine is Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and it was where the Winnie The Pooh ride is now. This is one of the few rides that I remember from that 1 lone trip we took to DW when I was 6 and I wish it would come back!An interesting note, as you go through the Pooh ride look back over your shoulder on the wall behind the door and you'll see Mr. Toad handing the deed over to Owl. Such a nice Disney touch, they are pros at details.
Family Visit
Isn't She Lovely?
On a side note, Madeline calls Jim 'N Nick's 'The Flying Pig' because of their logo! ha ha When I bring her home the wonderful cheese biscuits from there she says 'you ate at The Flying Pig!!!'.

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 7
Wednesday, May 18, 2011
???
Madeline was reading through some newspaper advertisments on the way home today. Out of the blue she says: "I found something we need. It's a Texas Hold 'Em Floating Poker Set for a pool. Only $29.99 everyday. While supplies last. At participating retailers." What??!!
And no, we don't have a pool.
And no, we don't have a pool.
30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 6
Today's challenge is to post a photo of something that you have never ridden or seen at Disney World. While I have seen Splash Mountain many times and love the theme it has of Brier Rabbit, I have never ridden it. I'm not much for water rides unless I am in a swimsuit....... wet shorts or jeans that I have stay in all day is not an appealing thing to me so I avoid water rides while dressed in normal clothes. I do have to say that on our last trip we discovered the Briar Patch gift shop beside Splash Mountain and it was wonderful!

Recent Funnies At Our House
And what did we find amongst the piles? This petrified banana. And yes, that's a moldy oreo stuck to the underside of it. Gak!
(Aunt Nancy is flipping out right now I know!)
30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 5
Today's challenge was to post a picture of your least favorite ride/attraction at Disney World. Hands down mine is the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventure Land. This one is mind numbing and what makes it even worse is the main character is voiced by Gilbert Godfrey whose voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me.This attraction is currently closed for renovations after a fire, it can only get better.

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 4
Day 4 is to post a picture of when you really know you have arrived at DW. For some people it's when they check in at their resort, others it's when they walk under the train trestle at the Magic Kingdom or turn the corner on Main Street and first see Cinderella Castle. For me it's when we drive through that welcome arch! From this point on we are in for fun times ahead!!Sunday, May 15, 2011
Honeydew
Not sure what the appeal is for honeydew, it is my least favorite fruit in all of fruitdom, but to each his own.
Jeff's New Ever Best Cleaning Friend
Now Madeline and I are tackling the world of crapola that has accumulated underneath her bed. I wonder how many trash bags I can fill.....
The way she wants it...

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 3
Day 3 is to list your favorite Disney World memory. I don't have a picture from when this happened but the above is a good one of Madeline riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, or the WEDway People Mover. The first time she rode it was on our first trip in 2007 and she was so excited she screamed "IT'S JUST LIKE A DREAM!!!!"Saturday, May 14, 2011
30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 2
For Day 2 we are to post a picture of the character you are most like. So, I took an online quiz to find out which I would be and the result was Bambi. What??? Anyway, here's what it said:Playful and agile you earn respect wherever you may go in life. You are a matured individual, but you also know how to have a good and senseless time when you are around your closest friends."
Hmmm. If I were choosing without a quiz I would have picked one of these two below:

30 Day Disney Photo Challenge: Day 1
I'm taking the 30 Day Disney Photo Challenge, let's see if I can truly do it. For the first day we are to post a picture of ourselves at DW and list the 10 reasons you are a DW lover. Here are my 10 in no certain order:1. The planning, the planning, the planning
2. Making memories and traditions
3. Finding rare characters for photo ops
4. The restaurants/food
4. The music
5. Cinderella Castle
6. Checking must dos off my list
7. Peter Pan, Pirates of the Caribbean and Carousel of Progress rides
8. Being able to sequester my family for a week away from daily interruption, ie quality family time
9. Watching my children get uber excited
10. Feeling like a child again
Stay tuned each day!
Synesthesia

So I think Matthew might have inherited synesthesia from me. I've always had this and from what I've read it's passed down from mothers to children. I see all of my numbers and letters in color whereas most people see them in black/white or not at all. Growing up I always thought everyone saw them in color and was shocked to find out otherwise.
I also see my numbers/dates/days of week/months of year spatially such as in a clockwise circle.
Days of the week and months of the year are also in color to me. The dominant letter colors affect the overall color of the word as a whole. So, when friends at work were planning dates for scheduling their inductions we would talk about what number (date) went best with the current month so the babies would have a pretty color birthdate! ha ha
Anyway, tonight Matthew and I were discussing colors we liked and he started singing the ABC song. He said you like green? I said yes, green was my favorite and he said 'then you like T, T is green'. I said yes! T is green!!! ha ha
There are many different forms, I only have 2, the grapheme color and number form. It came in very handy for remembering dates in History classes! Example, to remember 1492 for Columbus sailing I knew that the 4 and 2 were blue/green which reminded me of water, hence the sailing. Works wonders for multiple choice questions! haha

Disney World circa 1981
I always figured these pics were taken from my one and only trip to The World when I was 6. I emailed them to a friend who is a Disney guru and she confirmed that she thinks this one above is in the queue line for Big Thunder Mountain RailRoad and she thinks the one below is from the line to the train station in Frontierland...Happiness in a bottle
